OSCARS 2023

February 6, 2022

The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, are one of the most important events in the film industry. Since their inception in 1929, the Oscars have honored the best of American and international cinema. The 2023 edition, set to take place next March 12 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, promises to be one of the most exciting in recent years.

Among the standout films of the year are "EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE," directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, which tells the story of a Chinese immigrant exploring the lives she could have lived in different universes to save the world; "Elvis" by Baz Luhrmann, a drama that addresses the life and music of Elvis Presley from his manager's perspective; "The Fabelmans," directed by Steven Spielberg, follows the life of a teenager exploring how to tell his stories through home movies; and "Pinocchio," directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson, a new take on the classic in a dark fantasy style.

As for performances, actors such as Austin Butler, Brendan Fraser, Barry Keoghan, Ana de Armas, and Jamie Lee Curtis are expected to take home an award for their roles.

Without a doubt, the 2023 Oscars will showcase the richness and diversity of current cinema, and an opportunity to celebrate the talent and effort of all those involved in the creation of films that excite us and make us reflect on the world around us.
