Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, better known as “Daniels,” are a duo of American filmmakers known for their creative and innovative style.
Kwan (1988) and Scheinert (1987) studied film at Emerson College in Boston, which is where they met. Since then they began working together for various short films and music videos and quickly discovered that they had a unique creative connection.
It was in 2016 when the Daniels achieved worldwide fame with their feature film “Swiss Army Man”. The film, starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe, tells the story of a lonely castaway who finds a dead body floating on the beach. What follows is a surreal and moving adventure that defies logic and imagination. “Swiss Army Man” was critically acclaimed and received several awards at international film festivals.
Since then, the Daniels have continued to work together on unique and creative projects. They have directed music videos for artists like The Killers, DJ Snake, and Foster the People, and have also worked on commercials for big brands like Nike and Samsung.
His most recent success is the film Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), an absurd action comedy-drama that became the highest-grossing film of the A24 studio.
